Several times a year the department sharpens their extrication skills utilizing donated vehicles and under differing scenarios. Drills encompass a wide variety of possibilities including school bus accidents, “big rig” challenges with 195 running through a portion of Millstone and motorcycle accidents. On Saturday, February 18th the residents of Millstone Township came out to vote on the fire budget and commissioner seats. We are pleased the residents recognize the value our department provides when it comes to emergency services. The budget was passed 163 to 54.
Additionally the Board of Commissioner had two seats available, congratulations to Marie Reed and Genevieve Semanchik.

Millstone Township Fire District Budget and Board Elections – February 18, 2017
The Millstone Township Fire District budget and election vote is scheduled for Saturday, February 18th from 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the firehouse located at 461 Stagecoach Road. The budget presentation was delivered at the last Town Council Meeting on Wednesday, February 1st.
On January 10th 2017 at 10:10 the Millstone Township Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment in front of 911 Perrineville Road (the Millstone First Aid Squad). Engine 3275 (South) arrived to find a two vehicle motor accident involving an overturned vehicle with the driver seriously injured and confined, as well as a second vehicle off the road with driver entrapped. The engine crew assisted EMS with removing the driver from the overturned vehicle. Rescue 3285 arrived and both crews then used the Holmatro tools to remove the drivers door of the second vehicle. Squad and Chief 57 of Monroe Township Fire District #2 arrived and secured a landing zone in an adjacent parking lot for Northstar. The driver of the overturned vehicle was flown to Robert Wood Johnson by Northstar. The second driver was transported by Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid to Jersey Shore Medical Center. Assisting at the scene were the Millstone Township First Aid Squad, MONOC Paramedics and the Millstone Township Public Works Department. The accident was investigated by the New Jersey State Police.
