Our Neighborhood of Firefighters Needs YOU to Volunteer!
Last night Millstone FF’s used Englishtown FD’s (12-1) door training prop to sharpen our skills in forcible entry techniques. Many times we need to gain entry to commercial buildings on fire after hours or weekends. So specialized training props like this are especially helpful. Thanks to Englistown Chief Lou Sarti and his department for hosting us!
On October 27th 2016 at 16:00, the Millstone Township Fire Department was dispatched to the intersection of Millstone Road and Perrineville Road, for a motor vehicle accident, vehicle smoking. Engine 3275 (South) arrived to find a two car accident with the driver of one vehicle entrapped. The Engine crew began patient care, stabilized the vehicle with cribbing and utilized the Holmatro tools to remove both drivers side doors and B post. Rescue 3285 arrived and assisted with the extrication. Two patients were transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center by Monroe EMS, MONOC Paramedics and Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid Squad.
On Thursday October 6th, our Junior Firefighters joined other surrounding departments at the Monmouth County Fire Academy for a hands on night of skill practice. Our Junior progam is designed for those students between the ages of 16 – 18 looking to give back to the community as well as looking towards a possible career in Emergency Management whether it be career or volunteer. We have a young crew that is highly motivated and will possibly join the department upon their 18th birthday.
