The Millstone Township Fire Department was dispatched as part of the initial assignment for a smell of smoke in the residence at 71 Yellow Meeting House Road, Upper Freehold Township. Engine 3275 (South) arrived first due with a 1.5 story dwelling, smoke showing on side B. The engine crew stretched a line to interior and located a fire in the attic. As the crew was beginning to open up and attack the fire a smoke explosion occurred causing the side D attic wall to collapse from the residence. The engine crew held their position and knocked the bulk of the fire down, assisted by Engine 8281 (Upper Freehold) and Truck 3915 (Plumsted). Tankers 3296 and 3295 arrived and assumed water supply. Additional units operating included Engine 54 (Jackson Mills), Tanker 8296, Tanker 3918 and Engine 19 (Hamilton #9) as the RIT.

The Millstone Township Fire Department was dispatched to Disbrow Hill Road near Perrineville Road for a reported structure fire. Telesqurt 3290 (J.Wagner) arrived to find a large two story dwelling heavily involved in fire, with Deputy Chief Wagner establishing command. The crew from the 3290 lead off with a 2.5″. Chief 57 was assigned as the Operations Officer. Aerial master streams from 3290 and Tower 57 were set-up as additional hand lines were placed into service to keep the fire from extending to the attached garage. The Western Monmouth Tanker Taskforce and additional tankers from the Suburban Chiefs Tanker Taskforce were called for water supply. After the bulk of the fire was knocked down, a backhoe from the Millstone Township DPW was used to assist with overhaul and removal of debris. The fire was investigated by the Monmouth County Fire Marshalls Office, the Millstone Township Fire Prevention Bureau, the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office, and the New Jersey State Police. The following departments responded to assist: Monroe Fire District #2- Tower Ladder, Tanker, Engine for refill site. Manalapan Township Fire Company #1- 1 Engine, 1 Tanker. Hope Fire Company- 1 Engine, 1 Tanker. Freehold Township Independent- 1 Engine, 1 Tanker. Hightstown Fire Company- 1 Ladder.East Windsor Fire Company #1- 1 Tanker. Cranbury Fire Department- 1 Tanker. Robbinsville Fire Department- 1 Engine for RIT. Plainsboro Fire Department- 1 Tanker. Morganville Fire Company- 1 Tanker. Robertsville Fire Company- 1 Tanker. The Millstone Township Fire Department was covered by 1 Engine from Cassville and 1 Tanker from Jackson Mills, both departments are from Jackson Township.

The Millstone Township Fire Department was dispatched to Monmouth Road and Interstate 195 for a vehicle fire. Engine 3275 (Maloney) and Tanker 3295 arrived to find a Dodge Neon with fire showing from the engine compartment. The engine crew stretched a 1 3/4″ handline and quickly extinguished the fire. Deputy Chief 5610 and Engine 5611 from Cassville also arrived but were returned to service. The fire was investigated by the Millstone Township Fire Prevention Bureau.

The Ladies Auxiliary will be holding the Annual Fall Rumage Sale on Saturday, November 15th from 8:00am – 2pm at the Millstone Township Fire House. If you would like to drop off any household items, linens, toys, tools, clothing, books, electronics, sports equipment etc. from Tuesday, 11/11 – Thursday 11/14 between the hours of 9am – 6pm.
Please no computers, exercise equipment, TV’s, baby car seats or baby cribs.
