Millstone Township Fire and EMS were alerted to a report of a MVA on Rt. 537 and Deer Run Drive with possible entrapment. While fire units were enroute county communications adivsed that an emt was on scene advising one victim confirmed trapped and requesting that a medevac be placed on stand-by. Chief Carbin 3266 arrived on scene with a pick-up truck vs passenger car with the driver of the car heavily trapped. Chief Carbin established 537 command and requested an engine and rescue from Freehold Twp 16-1 mutual aid. Rescue 3285 South arrived and crews led off stabilizing the vehicle and placing the Holmatro Tools in service. Engine 3276 Byrne arrived close behind with the crew strecthing an 1.75 handline for protection. The crew from the rescue removed both doors from the drivers side the roof and utilized the rams to push the dash. The patient was extricated within 18 minutes of arrival. The patient was transported to a landing zone and transported by Northstar Medevac to Jersey Shore. The Landing Zone was handled by an engine from 16-1. EMS personnel treated a total of 4 injuries. Addtional units on scene were Engine 3274 Telesqurt 3290 and Utility 3287.
