The Department has handled 89 calls for service since the storm hit. Most of the major roads have been cleared or have been opened enough to become passable. We still urge people to use extreme caution if driving this evening. There are still several roads closed with wires down throughout town. We still have a couple active burning wires which we are watching while we wait for the power company to arrive. As can be imagined the Department is operating all over town with multiple trees and wires down. This has lead to blockages on almost every road. Please avoid traveling if it is not necessary. Assume all downed wires are energized and stay clear of them. ... See MoreSee Less
